Take a trip to Coonawarra during the month of July and explore the Cellar Dweller Festival. The Cellar Dwellers festival is a month long wine festival and the only event of its kind where the visitors get the rare chance to taste and buy the back vintages and old treasures, many of which are hard to find, aged Coonawarra wines. Indeed some of these wines may never be seen on the shelves of stores again.
Special events span over the 5 weekends in July and with the range of wines on offer to taste in cellar doors, are sure to please anyone who appreciates being spoiled!
Coonawarra Cellar Dwellers was originally started by the Vignerons to attract visitors to the region at this traditionally slow time of the year and as it was so so successful it is now been turned into an annual event.
Coonawarra wines are well known for their aging ability and great flavours and Cellar Dwellers provides our region with an opportunity to showcase wines that are otherwise not available for tasting.
This event is attracting growing interest particularly from people looking for the opportunity to try something a bit different.
It is a wonderful way to spend a couple of days escaping from the hustle and bustle to taste, discuss, learn and most importantly relax. Help brighten up your winter and warm up your belly with delicious wine & food by partaking in ‘out of the ordinary’ specials.
